It’s been a little over 5 years now that I have been practicing kundalini daily and for me… there is no doubt that this practice, energy and lifestyle has boosted all areas of my life! From my health, my relationships, career, creativity, intuition and patience, kundalini yoga has been the cornerstone for all my transformative moments and shifts.
Now, I have the pleasure of teaching kundalini on Rama TV, in my Virtual Studio and 1:1 with my clients. And let me tell you, it’s the thing that has been unleveling my clients lives as well. They come to me for the fitness and learn that it was actually a daily practice of self-mastery that they were yearning for all along.
So what is kundalini yoga and how does it help women?
KUNDALINI YOGA
Kundalini yoga is the combination of breath work, asana (posture or movements), and mantra (chanting) that helps raise your energy from the lower chakras to the higher ones giving you a sense of elevation, enlightenment and joy. Kundalini yoga is a beautiful unfolding of your own nature. The teachings of kundalini give us a path, a blueprint to create inner happiness and a sense of fulfillment and peace.
Now I want to share some of the unbelievable benefits of kundalini yoga for women!
HEALTH BENEFITS
- Supports glandular health. Glands are the guardians of our health and the breath, asanas and mantras in kundalini help regulate our glands which leads to healthy functioning hormones, better sleep, metabolism and mood. This is especially important as we enter perimenopause and menopause.
- Is Anti-aging. I swear kundalini yoga has taken 5 years off my 38 yr old face and you just have to look at some of the older yogini’s to see how young, vibrant and radiant they are well into their 70’s! If you do cat/cow for 3 minutes a day, you will see a change in the fines lines and skin tone in the face. TRY IT😁
- We gain an understanding of what’s best for our unique bodies. Because kundalini helps you tune into your intuition and the mind-body connection, you make better, healthier choices for you, your lifestyle and your health needs… without the confusion. - Kundalini is more than just a meditative yoga! It can be very physical and helps us build strength, improves our flexibility and our endurance. It’s best if you try to aim for 45 minutes of kundalini yoga a day to see and feel the physique changes you seek.
- And lastly, kundalini yoga helps with cognitive and mental health. It keeps our mind clear, our brains healthy and sharp and our moods elevated. Again, ladies… as we head into menopause a common complaint is the brain fog and loss of memory or mental functions. Well there are so many kriyas and meditations that sharpen the mind and keep your thoughts sovereign, and you connected to your highest self.
I love kundalini yoga for women as it not only is a beautiful practice to alleviate stress, and develop personal inner strength and awareness, it also helps with our health in many ways. That is why I have all my 1:1 clients start a daily practice. It’s just that powerful and only requires about 45 minutes a day.
