Instead of making you commit to weight loss resolutions this New Year, we are going to continue where we left off in December. 
 
Yes, a few treats may have been consumed and a few workouts missed, but we also filled up our cups with connection, delicious food and rest. All are needed for a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
 
This January, our nutrition focus is around balancing out our carbs and empowering ourselves with the knowledge of what works best for our goals, lifestyle and daily activity. Low-carb does not mean NO CARBS! Carbs are essential to life:) But as we will learn, so is balancing our blood sugar and ensuring we get enough healthy fats and proteins.
 
This month also brings new workouts with new equipment! Resistance bands are great for home workouts, they are small to store, cheap and deliver great results. Kettlebells are a total body tool that is versatile and can work a lot of major muscle groups all in one workout. Plus, they are baddass.
 
And lastly, with the shorter darker days of January, our mindfulness practice continues with a closer look inwards. Self-reflection is the willingness to learn more about your fundamental nature, purpose and essence. This month is focused on questions about our goals,  behaviour, and our general state of mind.
