My family is slightly obsessed with this orange miso turmeric tahini dressing, we use it on fish, salads, buddha bowls and just use it for a dip for roasted veggies. It comes as no surprise that I love making versions of tahini dressings. The nutty creaminess of it lends itself to any tasty dressing and the fast that it’s a great source of healthy fat, is loaded with other minerals including… CALCIUM!
Turmeric is a powerful healing spice that I consume almost daily! To check out all of the healing properties of turmeric, read about the health benefits here. Using a little black pepper really activates the turmeric.
ALSO- you are getting the bonus health benefits of the orange (vitamin C) the garlic (anti-viral) and the miso (fermented probiotics). It’s pretty much the healthiest salad dressing you could make:)
WHAT YOU NEED
- 1 large navel orange juiced
- 1 nub of turmeric
- 1 tsp of red miso paste
- 3 tsp of tahini
- 1 tsp of sesame oil
- Salt and pepper
- splash of water to help thin it out a tad…
WHAT TO DO
- Juice the orange, peel the garlic and add everything to your high-speed blender. The amount of water you use is up to you. Using 2 oranges also works if you want more of that sweetness to come through:)
Use this dressing on salads, roasted veggies, as a dip, over meat or fish or as a spread in a sandwich or wrap. It’s a real crowd pleaser.
Enjoy!
