Raise Your Vibrations

P1010653These past few weeks has been some of the single most transformative weeks of my life. I have been immersed into my meditation practice and preparing to share my knowledge and experiences with mindfulness and meditation with the women of Fit Club, my online health and fitness program.

Spring is here and I can feel the energy of the new moon in Aries and the shift from my winter slumber into a more energetic vibe.

P1010656Mentally I have found the clarity I have been seeking and physically, my body underwent a healing that I can’t fully comprehend. I feel aligned with a higher vibration and I want to share some ways you too can feel connected to a higher sense of well-being.

Every thought, word and action carries its own vibrational frequency. Love, compassion and gratitude all create higher vibrations within yourself and fear, shame and negative thoughts cause you to have lower, shorter vibrations.

What are you thinking and speaking into reality today? What stories are you telling yourself that keep you trapped in a state of fear and scarcity? Our thoughts are far more powerful than we can fathom. Their vibration speaks directly to our cells, our hearts, and the universe at large.

P1010631Whenever you feel good about yourself and your life, you are in a higher vibrational state. The more you feel happy, joyful, loving, ecstatic, blissful – the more you will be living in a high vibration state, and the more moments you will have of feeling wonderful and in a state of love for yourself and others. You will easily attract more good things and people into your life.
Like attracts like – as you raise your vibration you will attract others of the same vibration!

Here’s how to raise your vibration this spring:

– Gratitude. The easiest way to raise your vibration is to count your blessings and really allow yourself to experience a deep sense of appreciation and gratitude. Keep a daily gratitude journal, or keep a list close by to remind you how lucky you truly are.

– Laugh often. We all know the powerful healing powers of a good laugh with a old friend or loved one. 

– Exercise. We all think of January as the best time time to start a new fitness routine but the truth is, our bodies were meant to start moving in the spring and rest in the winter. Get out to your favourite fitness class, hit up the gym or go for a walk in the woods or by the water. Movement connects us to our physical self and makes us feel confident and powerful. The more active you are and the more you exercise, the more energy begins to flow through your body. This flow of energy helps to raise your vibrational resonance and also helps to uplift your mind.

P1010645– Declutter and simplify your day. Go through your home and do a proper spring clean.Get rid of anything that doesn’t bring you joy so you have more space to breathe! Then take a good hard look at your schedule and lose the extra curricular activities that aren’t serving you. You don’t have to go the that PAC meeting or help your friend move! You are making time to be your best self!

-Clean up your diet and eat more fresh foods. Our bodies will naturally start to crave lighter meals like salads, fresh fruits and veggies. Ditch the heavy sauces, red meat and dairy laden meals and have a Macro bowl or Veggie Taco instead! Add in lots of green juices and smoothies as well as include a few superfoods or highly nutrient-dense foods. I have spirulina, cacao, goji berries, salmon, fresh berries, hemp seeds, chia seeds, nuts and leafy greens on hand to help me stay energized and healthy.

-Be Mindful of Your Words. Watch the words you speak both to yourself and out loud into the universe.  The words you speak and think carry their own powerful vibrational resonance and whether you trash talk someone else or yourself, there is no difference… 

– MEDITATE. Meditation is excellent for re-grounding and increasing vibration. Sit in a comfortable position, close your eyes and focus yourself on your breath. Too often, we rush through the day and end up feeling scattered and stressed, which leads to anxiety. Just ten minutes of meditation per day can change your whole perspective and keep your heart and energy open and vibrant:)
